OpenSats is a non-profit that funds free and open-source Bitcoin development through donations and grants. A great deal of the ecosystem’s core work — wallets, protocol research, privacy tools — is unpaid or under-resourced, and OpenSats exists to route money to the people doing it.
It is not a product you use so much as infrastructure for the commons: if you have benefited from open-source Bitcoin software, this is one of the most direct ways to give back.
